i never said i hated them...i just don't find them funny

benny hill was also unfunny

as i said, i like for my comedy to require SOME sort of intelligence to comprehend, but i don't hold it against people if they can be amused by something of no originality or complexity...in fact, i envy their ability to be easily amused

I remember when I was younger and I saw my first 3 Stooges episode with Shemp. It didn't make sense to my simple mind at the time. I was like "who is this douchebag that is nowhere near as good as Curley?"

i don't really disagree..."it's all been done" applies to many many many things

the difference is that some things have already been done are still funny and some things, like the stooges, are not (my opinion, as i've said several times)

i don't particularly care if you agree with me or not...i would be very surprised to find out that those i consider my "good" friends actually like the three stooges, as i tend to share a sense of humor similar to theirs...the very fact that you actively enjoy a style of comedy that bores me to no end suggests that you're probably not anyone whose opinion matters to me as i would likely find you to be a bit on the inane side

don't take it personally and try not to get too upset that i happen not to agree with you on something so utterly inconsequential

though I certainly laughed my ass off to them as a kid.

I'd say the Jackass crew is the modern comedy most reminiscent of the Stooges, but I don't think they exist b/c of the Stooges.

Actually, I think Jackass is the only comedy outfit that reaches the heights of the giants of the silent era, such as Chaplin or Keaton.
