Quote : | "Halloween is an annual holiday observed on October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holiday All Saints' Day, but is today largely a secular celebration.
Common Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, carving jack-o'-lanterns, ghost tours, bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, committing pranks, telling ghost stories or other frightening tales, and watching horror films." | (thanks wiki)
How and why are you all celebrating Halloween?....now and when you were a kid.
I always have a costume, if not a shitty one, generally carve wicked awesome jack-o-lanterns, go to costume parties (with booze and herb), and sometime watch horror films. Bonfires seem like a good idea.
As a kid, it was all about trick-or-treating, telling ghost stories, eating roasted pumpkin seeds and visiting haunted attractions. I never got in to the whole apple bobbing thing. :/
So how about the rest of you?
Any of you celebrate Samhain? (pagan harvest parties)
Do you go "guising"?
