My principle complaint against cars are when I am already teetering on the edge of the road to give them room yet they feel compelled to honk their horn in what I guess is a gesture to inform me that they are there. HEY DUMBASS, I CAN HEAR YOUR ENGINE! The only thing honking does is scare the bajeesus out of me which only compels me to be one of "those" bike riders. To a lesser extent I find the people who pass me by going ALL the way over into the other lane and then hastily speeding away amusing. Keep in mind this all applies to the country roads I travel out here in Alamance County. Rarely do I have these issues in the city.

they ride they sons bike and never even ride on the right side of the road


and they ride like they are struggling to stay on the bike, i dont know how we ride as slow as we do with a 40 in one hand and a bag of bojangles in the other

Haha. No, but putting themselves (and potentially me) at risk by going clear into the other lane is unnecessary and makes them look silly. But then again this could easy turn into a discussion about the merits of giant ass cars that Americans seem to feel entitled to.

I, too, ride with earbuds in yet have no trouble hearing approaching vehicles. Hell, most of the time it's the wind that would prevent me from hearing anything rather than the music.
