I had a smashing pumpkins stations slowly degrade into slow intstrumental jazz. No amount of disliking and skipping tracks could save it. It's time your take your station out back, I hear you can put it in a box if it helps. On the brightside it's pretty easy to replace them.

Once my Alu station started playing "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve; then again that one kinda did fit...

I have a folk station that's becoming 90s rock/pop.

My Lady Gaga station started playing Pussycat Dolls. I guess that kind of makes sense but it made me realize that music like Lady Gaga's is not very good.

blind melon - no rain, STP, and nirvana frequent my classic rock station (seeding from things like led zeppelin, pink floyd, the doors)

the only pandora station i've ever been satisfied with is based on "cut your hair" by pavement

it plays catchy indie pop tunes, a good third of which i've never heard

i've never skipped a song on it

shit rules

my trance station is quite baller, other stations always have period of time where they play nothing but songs i don't like, but outside of that short lived period, trend to be good.

The P.O.S. plays Jack Johnson and a few other odd things more often than it seems to play hip hop.

to be honest i've never really had a problem with it. I have only about 7 or 8 stations and keep my pandora on quick mix only. but the few times I have played the stations themselves I've had no problem. The reason may be because I neither thumbs up or thumbs down that often, unless something is particularly good or bad. Maybe you all are doing a lot of thumbs upping and pandora is merely refining those stations to match your tastes?

electronic music is universally terrible. What a surprise pandora doesn't give a shit about the non-existant differences between two sub-sub-sub-sub-genres.

dub influenced chicago house is quite different than dubstep. VERY different. One stems largely from the chicago house movement, the other from the london 2-step movement. Just because you don't know about the genres and they both have dub in them doesn't mean they aren't different.

I don't use Pandora, but Slacker does this to me. I made a custom station with probably 250 artists, and it still insists on playing things I didn't ask for. About 90% of what I put in there is rock, but Slacker wants me to listen to Norah Jones instead.

So I haven't been to pandora in a few months*, but my Alvin Youngblood Hart station just fired up with an Alvin Youngblood Hart song.

*I quit because I couldn't get them to quit playing shitty music on some other station I had.
