Sorry if this belongs in a different forum. The other day (maybe a week or 2) I downloaded the newest version of itunes. And ever since then my itunes will freeze up while I'm listening to it. I'll be playing it on shuffle mode and it will freeze up. Itunes will continue to play the song that it is currently on, but it will not skip to the next one. The time of the song will be frozen, at :26 for example, and will not move. And I cannot do anything to "fix" it, besides ctr-alt-delete. I assume this has something to do with the new version of itunes...anyone else experience this or know what to do? thanks.

iTunes is a piece of shit and a joke. Get something else for listening to your music from the computer.

Only reason I use it is for syncing my ipod...What would you recommend?ETA: and I've never had any issues until now. [Edited on September 15, 2010 at 11:50 PM. Reason : fg]

Out of curiosity, why does itunes suck?I've never had an issue with it till now...and of course this does blow, but is there anything I'm missing out on by using itunes over something else? Honest question, as I really don't know the answer.

lol, iTunes.I feel your pain - I just loaded it on a spare computer so it would quit slowing my machine and crashing every 15 minutes.

iTunes got a lot faster for me when it hit v9. I actually like using it for listening to music. I've upgraded to 10 but haven't noticed anything... maybe you can just try going back to the last version of iTunes if that was working ok for you.

^I am gonna try that. Like I said, this is the only issue I ever had with itunes...I like the setup of it and all. But maybe I'm just used to it and that's why I like it, I don't know. Right now its working fine...hasn't frozen up since I made this thread. But it could definitely happen on the next song too, lol.

HAHAHAHA. I loaded a lonely 15 or so MP3's onto the iPod when I was upgrading it to 4.1 Needless to say it locked up the first time I was playing music and I listened to looping Ricky Skaggs until the battery died because some douchebag decided it didn't need a reset port

^after having a 'fat', 'skinny' and HD zune (along with 3 iPods) I always pickup my ZuneHD. Better audio, better screen, decent web browser. The reviews on the net are almost useless - firmware updates have eliminated 99% of the problems they mention. If you like music, hit that zune pass and do it up. And I really like the software - it has about a 20 minute learning curve, but it's a heck of a lot better than a series of 227 lists to find what you're looking for. And don't forget the ever-intuitive long press on your device. Those context menus are the heat.

yea i dont have a zune but the zune software is pretty much the best music player.
