Mother-of-two left paralysed after breaking neck while doing 'keep-fit' pole dancing class

Quote :
"A mother-of-two has been left paralysed by a freak accident during a pole-dancing exercise class.

Debbie Plowman had been hanging upside down when she fell on her head and suffered devastating injuries.

The 32-year-old broke her neck and severely damaged her spine. Still in hospital nine months after the accident, she cannot talk and requires a ventilator to help her breathe.

The accident happened when the supermarket worker was performing a routine ‘cross ankle release’ manoeuvre that she had done many times before.

‘Without warning or shouts for help, she fell from the pole, twisting her spinal cord and as a result has been left paralysed,’ said a fellow pole dancer."

Why is the media putting a slant on this? She got paralyzed...but had it not been for her fall, I could have died!

I used to. My roommate installed a pole in our house. I've fallen on my head on occasion during an inverted move ... it's scary! Very physically demanding workout. But I'd rather injure myself during kickboxing. It's easier to explain.
