eh

if i'd seen this before scott pilgrim, i might feel differently

and the animation is gorgeous

but why should i watch a lightshow when i can watch a film that does the same thing but involves me emotionally

^I suppose that's fair, but I think it has merit as a short. If it were a feature length film with dialogue, I'd argue the same thing.

i realize it's mostly an animation showcase, and as that it's great

but even shorts can be emotionally rich (see: pixar)

this is just as much about sound design as it is about animation

check out all the sound/music credits!
