What happened to Holy Ghost Tent Revival. They were listed in the TWW ad but now they aren't listed on the website.

this festival has fail written all over it

who plans these things?

the only thing that could possibly redeem this for me is if theres facepainting. if theres facepainting i'm going to be mad i didn't go

Well then be ready to get mad!

jk...no face painting

This was a poorly executed event for sure.
Except for the PR...dunno how long this extended outdoor drinking is gonna be, but it works

They needed better food vendors and better bands, but I did get into the beer garden for free (and really you could get as many samples as you wanted) so I still had a good time.

not worth the traffic problems it caused. but it's only like the 2nd or 3rd year they've tried this. there's definitely some room for it to become a moderately significant event in Raleigh.

I dont care what any of yall haters say- it was fun out there . And the vendors at the beer garden hooked it up for us. I had probably 10~ samples, left and walked down the street to sober up some, came back and had 10 more (and im sure I could have gotten more if I wanted but I felt.terrific at that point)

If you had to be at the beer garden to enjoy the whole event then it was a fail. Raleigh Wide Open has a beer garden, but they have great vendors, more activities and better bands.

We enjoyed ourselves, yes. But the event as a whole was 5.5/10.

The beer garden is the only reason I went- I bought tickets to it before I even knew about the whole festival. Like I mentioned, we did go wandering around the streets though, and check out some of the bands, vendors, etc... I'm pissed that I never registered to vote though- that was something I fully intended to do. But I gotta admit, 9 bucks for all you can drink was quite the good deal, and we fully took advantage of it

I wanted to check out raleigh wide open, I was just under the weather- if they do anything like that again downtown, i'll definitely go check it out (especially if they do it when it isn't 95 degrees again)

this was the 5th year of raleigh wide open; and i recall it being very pleasant when we went. but i do remember you being under the weather and sad you missed out on wrestling (which was awesome!)

but what i like about these types of things, aside from beer gardens and street drinking--cause I DO like that; hell I have a pulse , are the vendors. i like seeing what's going on around our area and meeting or learning about new artists and businesses. at RWO I picked up a number of cards of local shops and artists that make jewelry, clothes, and other products. i also like the music, but aside from the band doing covers down by PR at 6:30 I was meh on the music.

so from that aspect, this wasn't a good one for me. you and I just like different things at our festivals...

Open container was only "allowed" in the beer garden.
This was not an open container event. Had it been, it would've instantly become half as lame.
