Anyone know any places like this around Raleigh. Not looking for night at the roxbury music scene, or fine dining. Want to be able to talk and share a few drinks with friends. What are your favorite places.

Barley and Vine on Duraleigh. Only real complaint is their hours kind of suck.

mosaic on glenwood is a nice wine bar. It's got a really cool looking interior with nice seating options. The music is pretty nice as well and isn't blasting so hard that you have to yell to be heard. i've taken a few dates here and it's worked out pretty well.

^I've been there twice and enjoyed it

How about the Grape in cameron village? I've never been there, but I've heard good things... is it still open? any good?

I like Mosaic as well, especially this time a year when it's nice to sit outside. Check out Six Plates if you are ever in Durham.

Frazier's is supposed to be a wine bar with a limited menu now.

Support Hillsborough!

-1 for mosaic because the menu is garbage and the entire place smells like feet

Sometimes you can go to a really nice restaurant and just sit at their bar.

lol this has been gone for like 2 years.

OP - what day of the week are we talking about? most bars have wine. do you want it to specifically be a specialty wine bar, or just have some selections? and the day is also important because some places are different on say, tues nights than a sat night!

Barley and Vine is probably a good bet for you guys then. It doesn't get very loud or crowded in there on Saturdays.

i think that's the important part...not an extremely lengthy wine list
