Any applications or the like to check router performance? Got a new router and put dd-wrt on it and was hoping to see if I could tweak for the optimal level of performance.

i doubt the routing will matter at such low speeds, I bet he'd like to test the throughput and burst speeds of the internal switch and wireless access point

that might make a little more sense, although putting dd-wrt on it shouldn't change LAN performance, as Layer 2 switching is going to be handled by an ASIC or FPGA, and not by the CPU. but i guess L2 switching + some feature built into dd-wrt could be interesting to measure, in which case I would suggest iperf.

I think all you need to do is to put the router inside a chronograph and that will tell you how fast it's going

iPerf or jPerf. Same program, only jPerf has a Java GUI to use.
