Selling my Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 VR I lens, (3) sandisk extreme III 2BG SD memory cards, 1 Hoya UV filter, tamrac camera bag, and a cable release. Excellent condition, just don't use it anymore.

Note: NO battery is included...you can find them on ebay for like 10 bucks though.

I upgraded my system a couple years ago. This camera was really only used for a little more than 1 year. Appx 14-15k shutter actuations.

yeah this is all $1800 new...so I figure for only a year's use and excellent condition 1300 isn't bad at all. I'm not desperate to sell it like some people I've seen on craigslist etc, so thats why I'm not selling it for $500, haha.

yes. However, I can justify the video camera that I'll use 2-3 times a week a lot easier than the still camera I'll get to take out in my nonexistent leisure time.

And I think I can talk greeches down to a reasonable $1200 or so

I was/am stretching everything and trying to avoid dipping into savings to pull together some cash for the HVX200 - adding $1300 on top of that is just not going to happen.

^ $500 for the lens is a "reasonable" amount on the top end if you're patient and don't mind it sitting on CL for a couple of weeks...i paid $300 for mine, but the guy i talked to prior to finding that deal was asking $450 (it had been up for more than 2 weeks)...he wouldn't drop to the $420 i offered him, so i walked away (and glad i did)

the body isn't worth but $500, IMO...selling them together is hard because you're trying to sell a fairly expensive lens with a body that's two generations old...D90s have been cheap for a while and they're only going to get cheaper with the release of the D7000

You can grab a NEW d90 body for $789 on amazon right now. Throw in $500 for a used 18-200 & its still under $1300...

and missing battery = ebay for 10 bucks? seriously? cheap ass knock-offs are great when they take a shit after a couple of recharge cycles any serious photographer considering this camera will want an official battery, which is going to cost quite a bit more.

the D80 is an old body, you cant expect someone looking to get into amateur DSLR photography to shell out 13 benjamins for a body that doesnt do video and just one lens in this day and age, especially this close to holiday season.

Oh, and just to fan the flames a little more, last christmas you could get a Canon T1i (superior to the D80) + 18-55 IS lens + 55-250 IS lens brand new for close to $700. There will probably be much similar deals popping up over the next few weeks.
