nope; however "unlimited" is 5GB on Verizon (unless it's changed.)

Just as a reference I racked up close to 2GB just on the road to Atlanta streaming music

I just picked up a Virgin Mifi; no contract, truly unlimited data, $40/30 days

the thethering plan is capped at 5GB/month.

Data Terms:
Quote :
"Data Plans and Features: Permitted Uses
You can use our Data Plans and Features for accessing the Internet and for such uses as: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; (iii) intranet access (including accessing corporate intranets, email and individual productivity applications made available by your company); (iv) uploading, downloading and streaming of audio, video and games; and (v) Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Data Plans and Features: Prohibited Uses
You may not use our Data Plans and Features for illegal purposes or purposes that infringe upon others’ intellectual property rights, or in a manner that interferes with other users’ service, interferes with the network’s ability to fairly allocate capacity among users or that otherwise degrades service quality for other users. Examples of prohibited usage include: (i) server devices or host computer applications, including continuous Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, automated machine-to-machine connections or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing applications that are broadcast to multiple servers or recipients such that they could enable “bots” or similar routines (as set forth in more detail in (iii) below) or otherwise denigrate network capacity or functionality; (ii) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections; (iii) “auto-responders,” “cancel-bots,” or similar automated or manual routines that generate amounts of net traffic that could disrupt net user groups or email use by others; (iv) generating “spam” or unsolicited commercial or bulk email (or activities that facilitate the dissemination of such email); (v) any activity that adversely affects the ability of other users or systems to use either Verizon Wireless’ services or the Internet-based resources of others, including the generation or dissemination of viruses, malware or “denial of service” attacks; (vi) accessing, or attempting to access without authority, the information, accounts or devices of others, or to penetrate, or attempt to penetrate, Verizon Wireless’ or another entity’s network or systems; or (vii) running software or other devices that maintain continuous active Internet connections when a computer’s connection would otherwise be idle, or “keep alive” functions, unless they adhere to Verizon Wireless’ requirements for such usage, which may be changed from time to time. By way of example only, you may not use a Data Plan or Feature for Web broadcasting, or for the operation of servers, telemetry devices and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition devices.

You may assess and monitor your own data usage during a particular billing period, including during the Return Period under your Worry Free Guarantee, by accessing My Account online, or by contacting Customer Service.

The Data Plans or Features are for individual use only and you may not offer them for resale. We further reserve the right to take measures to protect our network and other users from harm, compromised capacity or degradation in performance. These measures may impact your service, and we reserve the right to deny, modify or terminate service, with or without notice, to anyone we believe is using Data Plans or Features in a manner that adversely impacts our network. We may monitor you compliance, or the compliance of other subscribers, with these terms and conditions, but we will not monitor the content of your communications except as otherwise expressly permitted or required by law. [See verizonwireless.com/privacy.]

Wireless Email (including GlobalEmail)
Data sessions automatically terminate after 24 hours of activity. Data session is inactive when no data is being transferred. Data session may seem inactive while data is actively being transferred to the device, or may seem active when it is actually cached and not transferring data. You MUST press the END or DISCONNECT button to ensure that session disconnects and charges cease. Third-party applications may automatically reinitiate data sessions without you pressing or clicking the SEND or CONNECT button. For the Palm Treo 650, the only way to disconnect your data session is to press the home key until you see “All” or “System,” then select the “Prefs” icon, then select “Network” from the drop-down list, and then “Disconnect.” You may be able to send or receive voice calls when your data session is inactive. When this occurs, charges apply simultaneously for voice calls in accordance with your plan. You are responsible for maintaining virus protection when accessing service.

Unlimited Smartphone and BlackBerry Plans and Features
These Wireless Email plans and features cannot be used: (1) for access to the Internet, intranets or other data networks except as the device’s native applications and capabilities permit, unless you subscribe to Mobile Broadband Connect; or (2) for any applications that tether your device to laptops or personal computers other than for use of the Wireless Sync or the BlackBerry solution, unless you subscribe to Mobile Broadband Connect.

Smartphone and BlackBerry Megabyte Plans and Features
Megabyte allowance and charges for kilobytes over the monthly allowance apply to 1xRTT and EV-DO data sessions, which are rounded to the next full kilobyte at the end of each billing cycle. Only total of kilobytes transmitted above allowance each billing cycle may appear on bill. You are responsible for all charges, including all data sent and received and “overhead” whether or not you or your recipients actually receive the data. Overhead is all data that is in addition to user-transmitted data, such as control, operational and routing instructions and error-checking characters as well as retransmissions of user-data messages that are received in error. Any unused portion of the megabyte allowance is lost.

Wireless Sync
Compatible wireless device required. The monthly allowance, if applicable, applies only to 1xRTT and EV-DO data transmissions, not to voice or other (dial-up) data transmissions. When traveling outside of the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area, you may be billed per your plan/feature for data calls. In order to use Wireless Sync, your PC monitor or Wireless Sync Enterprise Server must be on and in a condition to receive your corporate email. Wireless Sync software updates will be sent to your device and will be charged as a data call.

The BlackBerry Solution From Verizon Wireless
The wireless data capability of the BlackBerry device functions only within the National Enhanced Services and Extended National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Areas. Verizon Wireless NationalAccess service is not available with the BlackBerry solution. BlackBerry Desktop Software using BlackBerry Desktop Redirector only supports Microsoft Exchange environments. Up to ten POP3/IMAP and ISP email accounts are supported through use of Email and Web for BlackBerry.

Email and Web for BlackBerry and Email and Web for Smartphone Feature Calendar and contact information, as well as Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes and other compatible email protocol syncing requires cable connection. BlackBerry users: viewing of attachments for many file types and sizes is available, and attachments may be forwarded via email; however, editing of attachments is not supported. A Data Plan or Data Feature is always required to use a BlackBerry device. Smartphone users: requires Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher with Direct Push Technology

GlobalEmail/GlobalAccess
Verizon Wireless will terminate your service for good cause if less than half of your usage over three consecutive billing cycles is on the Verizon Wireless National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area. Placing your GlobalEmail SIM in any other non-BlackBerry or smartphone device could result in additional charges or termination of service.

GlobalEmail, GlobalAccess and Global Phone SIM Cards
Your SIM Card is for use only with your Global PC Card, Global smartphone or Global Phone, and only for the purpose of those services. You are responsible for any unauthorized use of your SIM Card, and will safeguard security codes. Upon termination of your service, please destroy your SIM Card.

It's "technically" unlimited since Verizon can terminate you if you're deemed as having an adverse effect on their network. Granted you'd probably have to be streaming 24/7 and tethering like crazy to put up a red flag.
