there's some sketchy parts of any city but as long as you stay in the street light where there are people you're straight.

3am last call...

no open container laws...

makes for one giant keg party in the street with mad hot belles roaming around

[Edited on October 10, 2010 at 10:56 AM. Reason : savannah is so overrated]

if being able to drink on the sidewalk is an important consideration, you may need to to examine where you are in life

I've partied in Charelston and in Savannah both and I think Savannah is a hell of alot better than Charelston. When you're down in Savannah there is a bar at the corner of Lincoln St. and Congress called Abe's on Lincoln that is fuckin amazing.

I used to live there. But I was 7 when we moved so none of the things that are important to me now were taken into consideration at that time. Seemed like a cool place though.

We have a house for sale on 8th street on Tybee, 1 block from the boardwalk.

Its on 2 lots, one lot has the house, the other lot is a huge yard and a pool.

Any takers?

$500k and you got a deal. It's listed for $699,000 at the moment.

Got an offer pending for $400k on the house and the lot under the house, but they cant afford to finance the other lot, so if we break it up, I have to go demolish the carport and driveway, since they both sit on the property line.

Savannah is cool. Love all the old houses and buildings, the fact that it's walkable, the parks. So damn charming. River street is cool if a bit touristy. I would not mind living there, not one bit.

I prefer charleston over savannah, but both places are better than most places.

All told I probably prefer Charleston but Savannah is cool. Had some magnificent shrimp & grits there a few years ago, which by itself is enough to elevate the town to "cool" status.
