^^ yea I was always afraid of that with my first Kenwood and I kept taking off the face every time I would leave the car. After 7 years of doing that the face doesn't always respond to the remote and when you touch it the face goes blank (reason I got this one). I think I'll play the odds with this one, though 7 years is pretty good only to have display/remote problems.

not even close, this player can set your car size literally in feet/inches that the speakers are apart (Fronts L/R and Rear) and the distance from your head to each speaker in the car. Not to mention it has internal memory to save presets in case you ever disconnect your battery or have your battery die. Then you have all the crap like the loudness depending on the speed of the car, radio data system and a whole bunch of other shit. Like I said above I have a 7yr old Kenwood and I love that CD player, but this player is on a whole different level electronically and audibly.

Oh yea and you can hook any external HD up to it

It's a cavalier and I mostly listen to Classic Rock and Jam Band with a mixture of older Rap. Plus have you ever heard a 10" 250W Bazooka? It's a $300 subwoofer and the design is patented, luckily I bought it off my friend for half that who I talked into purchasing before his DUI

All I have is an SSA DCON 12" tuned to 27hz playing from about 80hz down. Nothing special.

nah I dig the head unit. I have a Pioneer that's pretty much the same makeup. No CD drive, all external devices (well, cept for CDs). USB on face, SD, 1/8 audio input. perty cool.

but I'm definitely not doing a full system again. After the ridiculous ones I've had, I wouldn't be able to spend less than $3k or so. And I don't have that to spend on car audio, so, there's that.
