500,000 downloads of the Windows Phone Dev Tools
Amazon Kindle App announced! looks gorgeous


Windows Azure is the only fully OPEN cloud platform: Java and PHP are first class. You pick your language, your dev tools.
Pixar is moving RenderMan to azure

Azure adding Virtual Networks, Remote Desktop, Virtual Machine Role, Server App Virtualization (Really going to give VMWare a run for it's money on the private cloud front)



First public demo of Hosted TFS on Windows Azure.
Sign-Up to a full TFS project (work items, reports, source control, builds) is now ~30 seconds.
Open authentication - Use Google, Yahoo, LiveID, Active Directory to authenticate users to TFS
TFS a first class experience for Eclipse and Visual Studio.
Build in the cloud - VM Role based cloud builds, and Worker Role cloud builds

Lots of really cool stuff. There was a ton of new stuff added for IE9, but I can't even remember most of it other than "even more, faster, and improved smoother experience".

It's a massively distributed Platform As A Service (PaaS) Operating System. Azure IS an operating system, but it's a cloud OS. Built to work seamlessly across nearly infinite hardware scalability.
