And the cop was pretty cool.

I thought that this deserved a thread because no one ever mentions it when cops aren't being dicks.

That is all.

did you deserve it or are you a cocksucker who feels like he is entitled to speed and is okay with paying the price for the privilege

I've been pulled about 15 times and have never gotten a ticket.

Yeah, it was my fault. Bought a new car a little while ago, and the temp tags expired on the 15th. Dealership was supposed to call when the tags came in. They didn't.

i believe something similar happened to TKE-Teg a couple of years ago. it was a bit of a fiasco because the plate got lost in the mail.

Oh lawd. Well, the cop was nice enough to check, and told me the state has issued me tags. I hope they didn't get lost

that got me a $25 fine in NYC that ended up costing an additional $650 (in rent because I had to stick around until my court date)

I've been pulled twice now for > 90 in a 55 and received warning tickets both times so cops can in fact be cool sometimes

Cops have always been pretty nice to me. Mainly speeding tickets. Got a "running a stop sign" ticket a month ago and when I got to court, the cop threw it out.

Be nice to cops and they'll usually be nice to you.

Well, it's primarily a racket, so what's the problem with viewing it dispassionately and treating it like what it is? I mean, don't get me wrong, we need to have traffic enforcement for the purpose of public safety, but that's not the focus of the system we have in place.

I really enjoyed the one I test drove.

The V6 engine is rather well suited for that application.

Chrysler did a fantastic job.

I am willing to bet a large sum of money that this vehicle is still in top operating condition in 3 years (collisions excluded). Name the amount.

^^ I'm sure it will be in top operating condition in 3 years. If I replace the engine after 2 years, and I don't have any other problems, then in 3 years, it will still be in top operating conditions, because the problem was fixed.

the new engine that is in the vehicle is actually rather top notch.

the old engine, while rough, noisy, and inefficient, was still reliable. at least till 150k.

^ Got a 1995 Ford Windstar with almost 200K miles on the original engine and transmission.

150K does not impress me.

doing 80 in a 65, or thereabout.

i didn't see him until it was way too late. as soon as i passed he pulled out of the median, so i just pulled over w/o him turning on the siren. we laughed about it, he took my info, casually strolled back up to give me my stuff back, said he had a high speed pursuit then casually walked back to his car and sped off.

A friend of my family knows a retired state trooper. He had a party and invited my family and the trooper. He had some good stories and also said most of the people he pulled over were good people.

I lol when he said that he once pulled a guy over for speeding and was talking to him afterwards when all of the sudden a guy pulled up next to him and wanted to street race. The guy didn't realize he was in an undercover SHP Ford Mustang. He raced him, won, slowed down, and turned his flashers on after the guy passed him. He was nice and talked the judge into letting the kid keep his car though.
