Since I voted mostly Democrat I feel obligated to donate my forthcoming tax cut to charity.

[Edited on November 3, 2010 at 3:50 PM. Reason : Unless "they" were right and only the rich will get tax cuts.]

I see the debt calculators; and I honestly think if they just gave me an equivalent tax cut we'd be a LOT better off. My portion of the US debt in a check out almost make me debt free from student loans.

I heard a funny analogy relating to this with the new congress on the state level, comparing it to the dog finally catching the car its been chasing. Now what? Almost all the state money goes at Health Services, Senior Services, and Education. And most of the GOP suggested cuts are to "waste, fraud, and abuse." Now the rubber, or dog I guess in this analogy meets the road. They'll have to come up with real suggestions now. Who do you piss off, the old people who vote more than anyone else, or the teachers who sound very sympathetic when talking about class room size. Should be fun to watch.

Everybody knows the whole tea party movement is really an operation funded by dems to get the independents to vote democratic in 2012

I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

you got your "hope and change", some people are never happy.

And I think most of you all are confused about extending the bush tax cuts. These arent going to be new tax cuts, its just keeping the same tax rates you pay now. The arguement is over raising them on households earning over 250k or keep them the same for everyone. As of right now, they are going to raise for everyone, as the leadership in congress wouldnt do the vote before the elections. (which is good politics, but bad for the economy) imo

Just a few months before the 1992 election, Ross Perot polled higher than both Bush and Clinton. Nationally

Then he suddenly dropped out because of a hoax threat against his family. The hoax came from someone within his own campaign, trying to fool people into thinking the main candidates were using dirty tricks. Perot reentered the race shortly after the hoax was revealed, but Democrats and Republicans were able to portray him as a crazy old quitter.

Republicans only have the ability to slow progress down, not time, big difference.

Because all the new people that were elected don't take office until January? Give them until 1/2/2011 though. They probably take New Years off.

I'm giving them until January 3rd, because they'll probably be hungover for a couple of days.
