awww thanks ya'll. im excited (but at the same time i am EXTREMELY stressed with school!)

lemme tell you about today!
after i got off of here i decided to go walk around (we didnt meet with britt like i thought we were) because i knew that i would fall asleep if i stayed in the hotel. so i found a landmark near the hotel (a long phallic cylindrical cream building). and off i went. by myself.

i got lost at least a dozen times

but all i would have to do is walk a block this way or that and find the weiner building.

so i walked around. got lost. and took pictures of david (the gnome).
david sparked many conversations with some locals and lemmetellyou. french boys are CUTE (even if they are like 6 years younger than me )
theres lots of interesting tidbits here and there but i ended up at a dive(ish) bar drinking beer and wine with a group of people whom only one person spoke english and he acted as translator.
we talked about obama, american dialects, good wines and good beers, and just a whole bunch of stuff. it was fun

lol not on purpose.

after i found out we werent going to meet her i decided i had to go do SOMETHING. so i did.

everyone else stayed here. when i came back a few hours later i heard her through the door and ran in

she had been here for like 30-40 minutes. so it wasnt on purpose!

Hey we do the gnome thing too. Ours is the travelocity gnome. It's the perfect size and not ceramic like your gnome. (bf was gonna get the gator version, they even have male & female versions!). We named ours gnomad. We have a flickr for him travelinggnomad. I think. Lol

i have now been to both and i like both a lot.

however i find almost any town i've never been to interesting. but i also try really hard not to fall into touristy places.
its a pretty big world and i find most of it entertaining.
