Once I started working with the downtown service industry hipsters so I could sleep with their women I began to understand that hipsters are really just people too. They're just alienated and lonely and afraid of being too excited about life because it isn't very cool.

In short, they're just like normal people but with tighter outfits.

i don't get the hatred. i hang around places that have hipsters a ton, but i never notice them unless they like sit next to me or say something annoying. they aint bothering you

"Hipsters" in the broadest sense have been around for decades. Hipster is basically a pretty broad term lumping lots of "artsy," "indie," and "counter-culture" sub-groups under a big umbrella. People act like this stuff started 5 years ago and it just makes me /facepalm
