CoD:MW2 was a terrible disappointment compared to Cod4, and I don't see a mediocre studio like Treyarch improving on that.

i was less of a fan of halo reach - the campaign was good, but i was less into the multiplayer this time around.

i liked the map select feature they added in for veto, but the actual multiplayer gameplay was lacking for me, but then again i started getting into modern warfare where i felt the environment played more of a role in some strategy instead of just "you got the high ground in an open hallway, he has rockets and sword, you have the assault rifle"

I don't have all that much time/drive to play multiple games...lately I've been playing NCAA 11, but I might pick this up to get a different game going. However, I'm wary of the developer and will wait for further reviews.

MW2 was fun as hell for me.

Eh, why not both?

I can't even say that Minecraft has been my favorite game this year... but if anything deserves the title, it's the one that's made... what, 6mil+ now? Is he up to 10mil yet, maybe?... by selling for $13 a piece. There's been more industry buzz about it than virtually any other game I can think of in the past few years. It's been universally well-received... I don't know of a single source which would dare to call it a bad game and be serious about the claim.

^^ I looked at Fallout: NV and am glad I didn't buy it. Looks like it plays/feels a lot like the F3.

SC2 should definitely get GOTY IMO.

Obviously it plays and feels like Fallout 3, it's the same series. Madden has played/felt a lot like the previous madden for like 15 years now. But the story is more like Fallout 2 so it was an instant buy for me.

Seriously, I was expecting more for BO, but they need to fix the damn lag. If they can do that with a patch fast and fix the damn server issues, this game would be a lot less annoying to play; instead it feels like a beta version of WaW. Fun, but laggy.

Since I skipped MW2, its nice to actually play a modern game with my friends again since they all abandon from BC2.

Honestly, the lag is an issue that will fix itself in a week or two. It's unfortunate, and it can leave a bad impression on people on launch day, but it would be a waste for companies to optimize their servers for the massive surge of traffic that happens on release when that traffic dissipates for good after a short while.

the lag issue is one of the reasons that I'm so high on reach. lag was such a bitch in halo 3, yet at least for me it's practically non-existant in reach. I played probably 50 hours during the beta and didn't have a single laggy game.
