Desktop #1 is about 1 year old. Desktop #2 is 5 years old. Laptop is 3 years old.

I use the laptop 99% of the time though.

my imb thinkpad lasted a year (motherboard) , samsung laptop lasted about 6 months (hard drive, motherboard) , my dell has lasted 3 years and is still fast.

desktop- 10 yrs, still runs like a champ
netbook- 1 year, this gets the most use
laptop 1 - 4 years. battery is bad, too lazy/cheap to replace
laptop 2 - 8 years, runs as good as the day i got it

Desktop is roughly a year old, but i built it and have been upgrading components here and there.
