Is it just me or have they been ridiculously potent lately? One chop in and I'm already weeping. At first I thought it was just a particular bag of them, but now it's been pretty much all of them for the last month.

White, yellow and red. Even some shallots I had last week. And my boyfriend has noticed it too so nopreggers. Unless we are both preggers. That would suck.

Throw your onions in the fridge after you pick them up from the store. When they're cold, they don't make you cry as much when you cut them

just run hot water while you cut them. idk exactly how it works, but it does. I saw it on food network i think?

Hot water really? I have heard about lighting a candle or holding an unlit matchstick between your lips, but I never have those around the kitchen. Hot water I can do though.

If you do get it in your eyes, stick your head in the freezer and let the cold air blow directly into your open eyes, feels wonderful and makes it go away. Thanks Bobby Flay
