I've got a friend who made up a completely fake name. That way he can stay in touch only with the people he wants to, but no one can search for him. You should try that option......

I ditched it just before it went public.

Don't miss it in the slightest. Won't be joining any time soon, particularly if they keep changing their privacy policy faster than rabbits breed.

Dont do it, I rarely use mine and wish I never created it. I dont want to lose contact with some of my old friends though so I guess it serves its purpose. AHH CONFUSED
