biggest trick: cook meat and veggies separately
they cook at different times, and charred cherry tomatoes and peppers are no bueno 11/19/2010 9:55:36 AM |

also, a lot of people don't know to do this, apparently- make sure you soak the skewers for a good 30 minutes in water before you put on your meat/veggies 11/19/2010 10:00:12 AM |

I like to use the bahama breeze sauce for basting:
Kabob Basting Sauce ¼ cup Orange Juice Fresh Squeezed ½ cup Pickapeppa Sauce 1 TbspBrown Sugar 2 tsp Chopped Cilantro
Baste that on whatever combination of things you want while grilling. Personally I like my veggies/shrooms burnt, my chicken done, and my steak medium so I cut the steak chunks larger than the chicken and grill it all at once. 11/19/2010 10:19:56 AM |

I was looking at this
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bob-blumer/build-your-own-shish-kabobs-recipe/index.html
it looks ok. it doesn't direct to cook meat separately but i see the point there. 11/19/2010 2:40:12 PM |
