when I take friends bowling for the first couple of times I try to be super encouraging/go easy on them so that way they'll want to come back more often. bowling alone kinda sucks

If it's a multiplayer game with match making, like Halo Reach, then I just go all out. If they're whining about losing or screaming lag, it makes it all the better.

Depends how much better

If I'm a little better I go all out and win big

If I'm a lot better I still go easy on them but still win big (but not humiliate them)

If they are "I can't quite grasp this looking up and down thing in Halo" or "I can't quite get the hang of hitting the ball over the net in tennis" bad then I generally don't even play with them, it's not fun at all. Unless it's a hot chick, then I tolerate it.

sometimes i will go easy on them and win just a little. but then when they start talking shit and being like, "oh, i hope it makes you feel good to beat someone who never plays this game" I beat them into a "i'll give you something to cry about" place.

it depends on who I'm playing. if it's someone who's not much of a gamer and just playing for fun, I'll ask them to play best of 5 and throw a couple of rounds. If it's someone that likes to talk shit, then I'll go all out embarassing them.

My favorite game to do this in was Goldeneye. If a person started talking shit, then I'd start killing them relentlessly by just slapping them.

If I was playing something like Gran Turismo, I'd try to keep the game even by selecting slower cars for myself. Most people who don't play the game don't even realize you're sandbagging because they don't know which car is capable of what.

I was playing goldeneye, didn't realize i'd actually be good at it, so after one round of something like 50-5, i handicapped myself by starting with the sniper (I'm a terrible sniper in Halo, but for whatever reason didn't help because they started hiding after I got a kills on them) and then the rocket launcher (which actually made it closer since I'd run out of ammo after like one hit and would have to resort to pistol/melee I think i only went like 32-like 20)

probably could have just circle strafing, but BR battles in Halo 3 make me strafe in every combat situation.
