Its just another energy drink meets alcohol in a can. It only gained notoriety because it was the poison of choice for some college kids that had a deadly binge drinking episode.

I just find it ironic that no one is getting up in arms about bars mixing redbull with vodka or jagiermeister, which gives you the same results as four lokos but is a whole hell of a lot tastier.
