In the North American Vexillogical Association's 2004 ranking of city flags: http://www.nava.org/Flag%20Design/city_survey.htm

For those of you who don't know, this is the Raleigh flag:

DC was #1:

and Pocatello, Idaho was last:

Frankly, I feel like we were robbed since flags like Ft. Wayne, Indiana beat up:

but we defeated shittastic ones like Tampa, Floriad:

for those of you who didn't know, this is the back side of the Raleigh flag:

I like it better.

Corpus Cristi is cool too.

This will come in handy when the apocalypse goes down and city-states rise up again so I can tell when I'm venturing into enemy territory.

^^ By their criteria DC beat Raleigh because it was more easily identifiable at a distance (I guess the city seal was too complicated). But really, I think Raleigh has a rather attractive and dignified (and NCSU colored) flag.

^ Indeed. (Though current trends say you may be more right than you think).

Ugly, sure.

But also, this is really disturbing.

Why the FUCK are there trademark and copyright notices on a fucking flag?

It happened any time you unlocked the "go home" cheat code on Oregon Trail and traveled east.

According to wikipedia, Pocatello's nickname is "US Smile Capital". Not sure that town could get much more lame.
