I've had to clean up both within the past 24 hours, thus the reason for this thread.

It depends on a variety of factors. Consistency, diet, surface, smell, viscosity, time elapsed, texture, etc. But all things considered, I prefer dog shit. Unless its pure liquid rhee, it usually comes up easier, is more homogeneous and has less of a distinct odor. Plus I can take solace in the fact that the culprit usually did so innocently because they couldn't hold it, while the vomiter probably just got drunk and acted like an asshole.

I would still much rather clean up dog shit. But dog vomit would be better than human vomit.

It's not the poop or the vomit that gets me. It's the smell of the bleach-based cleaner I'm using to sanitize everything that makes me want to

^usually if a dog vomits and you do nothing, they'll lick it up themselves.

human vomit is vile.

ugh.

my dog has immune issues so she throws up weekly. it's disgusting (much worse than poop-human or dog) but still doesnt hold a candle to human throw up.

Regardless of human/dog puke/shit, I will need a bucket of my own to puke into while I am cleaning it up.

i kinda think dog vomit is better than human poop, unless it is like baby. i don't know why.

i worked in a vet for a long time in high school so i think animal (well dog and cat, etc) excrement just doesn't really affect me anymore though. i'm not that grossed out by human stuff either though...but given the choice between dog vomit and human poop. def dog vomit.

and between the human vomit and dog poop, DEF dog poop.

i think i'll choose dog bodily fluids over human most any day haha.

Spent Thanksgiving in Hilton Head and saw what must have been gator diarrhea.

The pile looked like it had slowly settled, and it had spread to like big around as a car tire.

The pugs normally love poop, but even they wanted nothing to do with that massive pile.

Anyway, for me, it goes poop > vomit > diarrhea...species doesn't matter.

I'd much rather clean up dogshit that spew.

I remember one night, my wife, my stepson, and I went to a State football game and tailgated with a bunch of friends.

We get back, and I'm tucking Jeremy in for the night when he says, "ooh I don't feel so good" and leans over and hurls on the floor. Beth was standing over me laughing so hard there were tears in her eyes...I was trying to clean it up and was horking and gagging the whole time.

She finally told me to get out of the way and let her do it. I happily complied.

Yeah, I'll take a nice steamy pile of dogshit any day over a puddle of vomit.

this thread reminds me of some chick i hooked up with from years ago.

the first time i met this gal, I went to her house, i watched her dog eat a couple different turds in the yard, and I was like WTF; she said the dog did that all the time and she couldn't seem to stop it no matter what she tried.

then that night i was on her computer and started smelling shit from somewhere. i thought the dog had farted. but the smell just persisted and after a couple minutes i look down, and see this big pile of shit-vomit the little fucker had puked up on the carpet under the desk about 2 feet from my bare feet.

i literally threw up in my mouth a little bit right then and there.

i quit seeing this gal shortly after that.

^Hahahah

Oh how I do not miss the days of being an RA over at UT...if you were the RA on duty for a given 24 hour period, it was a virtual certainty (and a 110% chance on Friday/Saturdays) that you'd get a call at about 3:30 in the morning from the front desk to go break out the shop vac and puke-absorbing sand stuff.
