how does this work? you just go and wait in line to get in? Is it a mad dash to get stuff? I could use a few extra batteries and possibly a docking station. 12/2/2010 1:00:22 PM |

^I have a docking station I'd sell for real cheap if you have an IBM thinkpad (pre Lenovo).
I'm also interested in this. I'm hunting a desktop, laptop, and ultraportable this season 12/2/2010 1:01:54 PM |

^ thanks but I have a Lenovo (T61p). Ooooh an ultraportable would be a great find too. If anyone has been, what kind of selection do they have on accessories? I would assume there wouldnt be as much demand compared to systems.

yes, it is run seriously retarded.
what will happen is the family at the front of the line will grab a bunch of shopping carts. when they get to the laptop counter, they will proceed to fill up said carts. the associates handing them out will not enforce any limits. everyone else in line just stands there and watches with jaws dropped.
at least thats what happened last time i went (last summer) 12/2/2010 5:52:52 PM |

^ Did you go to the one out past Greensboro? Because that's the one I was at. Basically you just had to force your way up there and shout out model numbers. That's how I got my sweet laptop .
But these ones in Morrisville... I'm not sure it's the same kind of deal. I think this is the one that doesn't have such outstanding deals and as a result, there isn't that much of a mad dash.
But I could be wrong. 12/2/2010 6:09:56 PM |

Is there a list somewhere that shows all the stuff they've got for sell? 12/3/2010 11:52:14 AM |

they used to release it to employee ahead of time but I got no such email the last couple go rounds.
I'm still fighting to have it all online, less of a clusterfuck and better sales potential since its not limited by geography. 12/4/2010 1:17:28 AM |
