Its actually a European thing.

No I had to go to a British Specialty store today to get them. except the Ralph's here carried the Jam so I am wondering if Kroger carries the jam at home. Would like to get some for my dad.

Back in the motherland, Finland, my grandparents used to own a house out in the boonies with potato fields and red currant/black currant bushes. I used to love playing out there. It was pretty tasty pickings too. Man I wish they hadn't sold that home

go to Europe!

either eat them plain, make a pie, smoothies, fruit juice, etc.

my favorite as a kid was red currant popsicles that my grandmother made

Why would I go all the way to Europe when you can buy fresh currants in Raleigh
