So today is my Dad's birthday. As many of you know, he passed away a little over 2 years ago. Like last year, I took a card out to his grave and spent a little time there reflecting. It got me to thinking, at what point, if any, do you stop celebrating the birthday of someone who has died?

TWWers who have lost close relatives/friends, what are your thoughts?

I remember the day they died more than the day they were born. I think a deceased person's deathday should be remembered instead. But come up with a less ominous name.

I just celebrated my grandmom's 100th birthday in November, had a manhattan and thought about her for a bit, I think she would have liked that. I don't think I could let that day pass without some kind of tribute to her. I would hate to pass away and just be forgotten.

^^I do that as well, but it is more of a sad event. But I also celebrate his birthday and Father's day.

My friend Simon died in a car crash on June 25th. So every June 25th, we drink in his honor. I couldn't even tell you his birthday.
