They're also 15.2lbs and tough lol + the sbc's look pretty good and they aren't cheep.
And kosei wheels are the cheapest ones.. and they're light as crap too but they bend super easy.

yes i am going to buy a lot of stuff for an 8k car. Any other questions?

Mine will walk his car now so I don't know what his problem is? Maybe a lil pissy I got a car for 4k under nada?

My thought was I could get a spec b... Which is 22k and the only thing that wipes of my "want to mod list" are the top hats control arms and the rear diff... So about $2k worth of parts for 14k more??? Now does that sound like a good investment?? No.

$20 says its the fastest beast in that picture... Nice ride man.

You can only go so fast when you're spinning tires

im not pissy about anything, I just realized a long time ago that spending a lot of money to make a car into a better faster car is usually less fruitful than buying a faster/better handling car in the first place.

rolling burn outs do have their moments.

torque that comes with boost is tooooo much.

me and some friends have started a shop called Urban Legends Motorsport. It's currently a side business but we're hoping to eventually expand to something bigger when that makes sense financially. Besides basic repairs we are doing modifications as well. Those pics are from a photoshoot we took for the website that is being built right now.

There haven't been any major changes to it since then. It's the same setup from my old build thread. Basically I can turn up the boost pretty easily (currently it's at 16-17psi) but so far I have chosen not to.

haha, I remember your DSM and I know where you're coming from. I'll be the first to admit that there's no substitute for having a car that was initially engineered to do what you want it to do, rather than throwing parts together in your garage. It's a good learning experience though. If anything, modifying the crap out of my car and other people's cars has made me appreciate good OEM designs more.

on my car it feels more like you're hydroplaning on dry pavement

well yes and no. we all get greedy and I am regularly temped. however the practical considerations start to win over after a while. the harder you push something, the more it breaks (doesn't matter what car it is). you can only use so much power... on the street all that power will get you arrested or killed, on a track or other legit non drag racing scenario you spend a lot of effort just trying to keep the car under control
