I'm trying to get some photos printed, and I've heard that I could save some money by getting them processed online. I've tried photobucket which refers me to kodak's website, but the shipping actually kills the price per photo. Can someone help me out, and tell me a good site to get photos printed and shipped (Preferably one that uses PayPal as a means of payment, too )? 12/10/2010 12:42:00 AM |

If you're talking non-pro solutions I've had good luck with Walgreens, Walmart, Sams Club, and CVS. You upload your stuff online and pickup in-store for free or pay a fee and have it shipped to your door. They're also good about handling non-standard sizes, but there is usually a 2-3 day delay.
If you're talking pro-grade I'd definitely go with ezprints - they're the exclusive supplier to smugmug, one of the largest (if not the largest) photo galleries for professional photographers.
If you want canvas printing I have no idea. I can't afford that kind of stuff 12/10/2010 1:07:23 AM |

I've used http://www.snapfish.com before. Their prices are ok, but they always have some really good coupons that bring the price per print down to respectable levels even with the shipping charges. They also take paypal.

i prefer walgreens for anything that i don't need or want "professional" quality...75% of the time they've got a coupon available that brings the cost of 4x6 prints down to $0.10/each (and no shipping charges since you just pick them up at their store)...every now and then they'll have a coupon that brings it down to $0.09/print
we recently printed out about 700 pictures from our wedding, so $70 was a lot better than $140...and the difference between walgreens and a "professional" printer is marginal for the vast majority of people, especially anything 8x10 or less (and arguably for 11x14)
their current coupon is annoying ($10 off $20) because you 1.) have to spend $20, and 2.) if you're spending more than $20, you have to make multiple orders to get the best value
i'm betting they'll have a per-print coupon starting on sunday since it's been a couple of weeks since the last one 12/10/2010 9:25:59 AM |
