actually we can post our fav exits also. the 440 exit (293) going towards raleigh. At night when they do all the construction i get on that shit and go like 90 MPH and skip all the douches on 40 going like 45 because there are traffic cones (Even when no work is being done)

Oh snap there's a tunnel under Cone? I remember them digging up the road by McDonald's last summer, but I stopped going that way after I moved to Greensboro. I bet your property value plummeted. Tunnels are bad news, especially ones that lead to a McDonald's.

God yeah that Western exit is scary as hell sometimes. I'm amazed with all the highway stuff they've been doing in the area recently that hasn't been a top priority.

I also hate the onramp onto the Outer Loop from Glenwood where it has that shoot-off onto Ridge Road. I have seen so many idiots veer left only to then cut right at the last second because they don't know where they're going.

The intersection of Glenwood and Peace Street tends to be a clusterfuck of people having no idea what they're doing as well.

There were no other options for the hillsborough interchange ramp because of the railroad tracks.

There's no yield sign for people making a U-turn by the Whole Foods on Kildaire Farm Rd., while the people making a right-hand turn coming out of Whole Foods have a green arrow. So all the people making a U-turn get pissed as hell when you're trying to make a right hand turn WITH THE GREEN ARROW.

I had the most retarded argument with a friend Sunday about the Wade Ave/I-40 split. We were having lunch in Morrisville and she needed to get to South Saunders. She was saying she was going to take Glenwood all the way downtown and I go, "Why, just take 40 East to the South Saunders exit?" and she goes, "Oh but I never know if I'm supposed to go left or right where it turns into 440??"

Me: "Follow the signs that say 40 East?"
Her: "But when I do that then I end up on some road in Cary!"
Me: "Well if you accidentally are a dumbass and go the wrong way on the split, just keep going straight and you'll merge back onto 40. Don't make any turns off of the highway."
Her: "No but if I do that I'm then on some road!"
Me: "Okay, just take 70 all the way downtown then."

you ALWAYS Yield when making a U Turn. Unless there is a left into a one way street (i guess... never been in that situation but i don't see a reason you'd need to yield to anyone)

I honestly think the Glenwood Ave. exit on 440 on the inner betline (fuck your east west bullshit) is just horrible. You have the oncoming traffic from the other exit right before it, and you have to fight your way onto the offramp in 100 feet. And if there is a redlight on a saturday evening, the traffic can easily backup to the highway. Then the people trying to get onto the highway are fucked, and you're fucked trying to get off.
