this is old news. Seattle cops are on a rampage lately. they rapin errabody out here.




FWIW the cop is on forced leave and has lost his badge and gun, after a review board found the shooting unjustified. there's quite a huge outrage about this and the local media wont leave it alone. i'm fairly confident that (at least in this one case) the cop will go to jail.

i'm not saying that cops don't employ siege mentality to protect their own at all costs, but in this case, the pressure is on. seriously. It's almost surprising the amount of public and political pressure coming down, especially considering the victim was indigent.

FWIW the cop is a 28 year old ex-army combat vet (Afghanistan), 2 years on the force.

i think it's disgusting. Seattle PD has been off the hook,the past few years or more, a complete failure of leadership, and the city is starting to take notice. the WA State ACLU has filed a lawsuit and is forcing the US Justice Department to investigate based on this and other recent events.

for instance: you may remember the kid at the convenience store getting the beat-down by some sketchy Seattle vice cop who thought he was someone else. And also the Seattle cop who threatened, "to beat the fucking Mexican piss out of you, homey. You feel me?" ... then proceeded to do so, while he was laying prone on the sidewalk. And then there's the Seattle cop who punched a teenage chick in the face for getting hostile with him about a jaywalking incident.

and let's not get started on the King County Sheriff's office. The shit's gone crazy out here.
