I knew a guy who became obsessed with coffee at some point and he invested in this pretty damn awesome thermos that claimed to keep coffee hot for 12 hours. We tested it. Got up in the morning, poured coffee in it, set a timer. It did what it claimed to do. I was impressed. It wasn't a very pretty thermos, but it worked! 12/28/2010 9:48:55 AM |

Both...if I'm at home or somewhere that I won't be moving around then a mug is my preference. If I'm in my car then a thermos is preferred. 12/28/2010 9:53:21 AM |

used to love drinking green tea out of these when I was in China
coffee upsets my stomach unfortunately so I have to be careful how much I drink.

^^ see, that's awesome and i would totally get that thermos
but it raises another question - clearly there is a quality difference inherent in mugs. does it matter?? 12/28/2010 11:17:20 AM |

plain metal thermos here
I switched over from drinking Rockstar energy drinks to one thermos of coffee a day. I think I'm immune to caffeine at this point in my life 1/3/2011 9:33:32 AM |

Bttt. I got a growler from costco, don’t hate it, but just not keeping things hot for long enough.
What is the best of the best? Want at least 30oz, would prefer closer to 64oz 5/5/2021 10:17:09 PM |

Drink faster. I merck a 20 oz. Yeti tumbler on the way to work and then fill up at the communal coffee pot. side note: I drink iced coffee 80% of the time, so my interest in the specific energy of a cup of coffee is pretty low.5/5/2021 10:59:32 PM |

I rinse my metal thermos out after each time I use it, and once it starts looking grimy enough (every few months), I'll scrub the heck out of it to get it all shiny and new again 5/6/2021 12:01:37 PM |
