My computer won't turn on after been away for christmas...
there is only a blinking power button.
I opened my laptop and the green light on the mobo is on when i try to turn it on, but it doesn't boot up.

Bad PS or mobo, but most likely the PS. I see this all the time.

no idea... i removed the hard drive to get data off of it, and when i put it back i tried turing it back on and sure enough it booted.
I guess it did some sort of auto recovery and went back to the last save point (a few months ago i reckon because a bunch of shit that was in the recycle bin ended up back on my desktop)
My old computer is over 5 years old anyway so this was a good excuse to get another one.
