if all book selling has to be done in one single thread? and how much sense does it make to put all textbooks in one unsearchable thread? someone read through it and see if they have a book i need.

damn newb.

books was operational and useful back in the day. wasn't maintained and went to shit. thus a thread was started. qntmken fixed the books section. I say lock the books thread now.

[Edited on December 29, 2010 at 8:54 PM. Reason : well I should say is working on it... still can't load a schedule I see]

if it works i stand corrected, I was operating on advice from the roommate. He said the Books tool didn't work and I saw the thread and assumed that the only way a multi-page book thread going back many years would be allowed was if the Books section was not working.

I will try the Books tool, however I still need someone to search the thread for me because books are sold in two places here.

Here is what happens when you venture into Books:

When you select your semester 2011 is not an option. No problem because you can just pick 2010, right? Wrong. No classes associated. Hmm, maybe I need to update my schedule so that I can buy or sell a book, let me click this link. It takes you to school tool. Click "My Schedule"

Then do wat?

[Edited on December 29, 2010 at 9:03 PM. Reason : in conclusion, not fixed]

well I was going to give you a link which was ostensibly to a search result for the book you wanted, but actually to a gay porn site

this link

http://www.thewolfweb.com/book_search.aspx?dept=ACC&course=310&action=Search&searchtype=courseSearch

but now that you thanked me, I feel bad

I had the link all constructed before I experienced the change of heart, so I figured I might as well post it

also, it is there to click for anyone who is interested in gay porn

Because of your post I became curious about how you found that site. If you google "gay porn" it isn't in the first page of results. Because of this I can conclude that you already knew about that website and possible had it bookmarked.

So, in conclusion, great job outing yourself.

I googled "gay asian porn pics"...I think it was among the top results

looking back, I'm not finding it...but I assure you it was something of that nature, involving Asians

I congratulate you on your fine detective work, though

hi rbrthwrd. the whole books exchange and school tool area (actually the whole site) is currently getting overhauled.

in the meantime, the books thread is the simplest and most effective way to buy/sell books

I hope this helps in the slightest!

rbrthwrd if you know what book you're looking for, just search the classifieds section for the book title or the author...you're bound to find it if it's in that thread.

that being said, i too would *love* the ability to search within a thread. closest thing i can think of at the moment is installing an auto-pager extension/add-on and open up the entire thread on one page and doing a control-f for your keyword.

facebook marketplace

there are 3 textbooks listed on facebook marketplace in the raleigh area

if we're talking non-tww marketplaces, surely ebay/amazon/maybe even CL would be better than facebook
