Isn't the gas prices one of the reasons for the economy getting fucked up in the first place?
Then a fake "bubble" burst and the prices came down below $2!

It is all one big conspiracy. Gas prices went up to help advance the development of rechargeable batteries. As the government sponsors and drafts regulation on car companies to increase their fleet MPG average, companies are turning to hybrids due to the government rebates consumers can get on hybrid cars. As such, oil companies are investing into rechargeable batteries as they can not only make money off of the fuel consumed, and justify increasing the price of fuel by citing a decrease in demand, but also make bank on the batteries. 1/1/2011 9:05:59 PM |

High gas prices --> less affordable for low income families --> More cars idle --> less drivers on the road --> shorter commute time --> shorter engine run-time --> less gas consumed --> less pollution.
High gas prices --> higher transportation cost --> mandatory cost increase of goods transported by vehicles.
High gas prices --> more momentum to find and switch to more oil sufficient products.1/1/2011 11:05:23 PM |

buying a car = no longer having to be around smelly blacks on the bus
buying washer and dryer = no longer having to be around smelly blacks at the laundromat or 25 unattended hispanic children
high gas prices = smelly black people will realize that people can barely afford gas and they will stop panhandling at gas stations, stop running out of gas on their way to wilmington to see their wife in the hospital, and stop asking for donations for their church that is doing work with troubled youths

Reminds me of how companies like Exxon are heavily researching alternative/bio fuels not only for cleaner environment, less gas dependency, etc hippy bullshit, but so that they can control the use (or rather, non-use) of the advanced technology.1/3/2011 10:50:55 AM |
