Philippines killing: 'Killer'caught in victim's photo

Quote :
"A photograph taken by a Philippine politician moments before he was shot dead has led to the arrest of his suspected killer.

Reynaldo Dagsa, a Manila district councillor, took a photo of his family outside their house on New Year's Day.

Unknowingly, a man raising his gun to fire was included in the background of the snap.

The family gave the photo to police who have now detained a man on suspicion of murder.

The killer is shown in the photograph wearing a back-to-front baseball cap just behind Mr Dagsa's daughter, wife and mother-in-law, who were unaware of his presence.

"While he was taking the picture of his family on New Year's Day, the killer appeared and he inadvertently took the picture of the killer with the gun aimed at him," local police chief Jude Santos told the AFP news agency.

Gun violence plagues the Philippines, with cheap firearms easily available on the legal and black markets."

Sorry I missed the other thread, but I pretty much went through every thread title on the first 2 pages BEFORE I made the thread, and I didn't see any that could have been about this. Went through the titles again, and still don't see it.

Thanks if anyone can post the link!

I'm glad he's going down. It takes a special kind of fucked up to kill in this type of circumstance. The killer is almost certainly some sort of psychopath in my opinion. Very few people fail to register any kind of empathy for their intended victim at close range like this, especially when the victim is with their family. Even soldiers often vomit and break down crying after kills at close range when the victim is facing them, even when their victim was actively trying to kill them. When the victim is unarmed, non-violent and actually facing the killer, it generally requires a psychopath to perform the kill. This is particularly true when done so without any social pressure from authorities who are actually present, such as higher ranking individuals within their group. I guess it's possible that this individual was not a psychopath and was simply desensitized to killing, but my money is on psychopathic tendencies.
