& where do you store them? I have an epic sized wire ball and they are overflowing their allotted box.

I zip tie, sort by connector, then stuff into a labeled gallon zip-lock. Then they reside in a rubbermaid in the closet.Higher value stuff (like a KVM or HDMI multiplier) sit in their box inside the bin.

I need some zip ties. And a bigger bin.

^^almost exactly the same for me. Masking tape isnt bad in place of zip ties. Sorted by purpose for me - AV, power, USB, motherboard cables, etc

I wrap them then toss them into a single box. The zip-loc/zip-tie idea is a good one though; I'll have to do that when I get the chance to reorganize my box.

I keep all my cables (>1') in a large laptop backpack that has separate compartments, so all my audio cables are in one compartment, all my video cables in another compartment, all my ethernet cables in another, so on so forth. The cables (>6') I store in a chest of drawers. I have way too many cables to put in zip-locks. And I don't know why there's a need to label cables if you know your connection types.I also use a screw-organization box for adapters, I have tons of adapters... like this:[Edited on January 11, 2011 at 12:05 PM. although i don't use zip ties since theyre often a one time use thing (plus you have to cut them). i prefer twisty ties...buy em on a roll with a cutter, like this:http://cgi.ebay.com/Twist-Tie-Roll-cutter-Made-Fox-Run-NEW-/110632290644
