Stupid Crabtree Mall didn't bother telling WRAL they're closed/delayed/whatever the hell they're doing today. I wanted to stop there on my way to work to get breakfast at Chick-fil-a and my hopes were crushed by their locked doors I even went to the trouble to check the Wake County closing list on WRAL's app to make sure they weren't closed before I left for work today

just got an email from the bossman saying we are closed today and will at least have a delay tomorrow. He also said that us hourly employees will either have to use some paid time off or just go unpaid today.

Well fuck that, I can work remotely perfectly fine, so now I will get paid to wear my pajamas, watch espn, and play with my daughter today. Oh yeah, and I'll do a little bit of work too

^^^^ Chick Fil A has done this to me numerous times in the past month. I started calling them to verify their openness as a result.

Note that I don't care whether or not the mall is closed. The chick fil a should be open even if they have to break into the mall to open.

Work is open as usual but our weather policy says if we get in by 11 on days when we don't feel safe coming in due to weather we won't be charged any PTO. So I got here at 11.
