to go along with your car idea, if a mechanic installs a part on your car they can not remove it if you don't pay. it was installed and belongs to you. instead, they have the option of a mechanics lien (sometime's called a construction lien). this is what the insulation company would have done if they couldn't get their shit back.

insulation material isnt all that expensive. its mexicans seeing a job site, stealing the material for their "business"


if the contractor takes back the material, he no longer has the right to sue for the job his company performed, not to mention the labor to rip it back out.
