Turns out Fen Wu and Zhu arent the greatest professors in the department. Does anyone have any old PDF or ppt. notes for MAE 315 or MAE 316? Any material from those two classes would be greatly appreciated and in exhange you will be rewarded a warm cozy feeling of knowing you helped me out.

Ok. I'll put my $0.02 in here for you. Yes, from everything I heard about him when I was there, Wu IS a terrible teacher. I'd recommend getting notes from someone in 315 with Tran or Ro. One benefit of getting notes from a Ro student is: he teaches Controls. So, by the time you get to Controls, IF you know his note style, it could help you learn better. I had Zhu for 316 and I thought it went pretty well. Just print off his PPT notes and write your own notes on top of them. If you stick to his HW and notes, you'll do fine. I did.

i had zhu for 316. he is was not a good teacher for me, but before each test he'll give you some review problems, which he'll go over in class. the test is pretty much just the review problems with different numbers or maybe a different orientation.

thanks people. Yeah I think zhu and his solids 2 class will be doable its just wu I'm sorta concerned about. The guy teaches like a robot with a bad accent. It'd be aight.

i had wu for controls and he sucks. only B i got in an engineering class. i don't even have any advice to give. tests were long, hard, and unpredictable.

I liked Zhu, I had him for 314 and 316, not a great lecturer, but he's fair and he was always really willing to try and help outside of class.

Wu... I dropped on the 3rd day and took Tran.
