Maryland, Delaware and southern New Jersey is a complete shithole and should be excavated into a parking lot for the rest of the Atlantic Seaboard

I hate the mason dixon argument because 1) MD did not leave the union and 2) southerners think that MD is the north.

The Mason Dixon line wasn't intended to be the boundary between north and south.

^^ That is more like it. I went to a hotel in West Virginia once and they had signs that said "Quiet please, it's sleepy time down South" and we all disagreed.

There also needs to be another one chopping off Florida.

The sweet tea line is somewhere a little north of Richmond. Northern Virginia isn't southern either. Maryland sure as hell isn't.

if you can buy a rebel flag in a gas station, you're in the south

Is it? My dad's family is from Richmond...and none of them makes tea already sweetened. Of course, they're an old school German Catholic family.

^^ Yeah maybe I should have said south of Richmond. It's definitely still in VA though b/c I've bought sweet tea at that Bojangles in Emporia off 95 many times.

Also, the Bojangleseses in Maryland do not have sweet tea, believe it or not.

no, but there are just as many fucking hick rednecks in maryland as there are in NC.

also, the sweet tea is hit or miss, but certainly not excluded completely

I lived in Maryland for a few months one summer. All of the kids I hung out with asked if I lived on a farm and shit like that. So no, I'd say they're more "northern"

well the state song sings about "northern scum". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryland,_My_Maryland
Also,
I've ventured around the area near the Pennsylvania boarder west of Baltimore and have never seen so many rebel flags in front of houses before.

but when you're not in the country side it's very northern.

oh and they do sell sweet tea at Bojangles, McDonalds, an wendys. Though McDonalds and Wendys just started selling it a few years ago, i'm not sure how long bojo's has carried it. Here's a funny commercial they played when they started doing it.

even though they were south of the mason-dixon line, and had slaves. they lacked the balls to actually rebel back in the day, so no. forever on the outside looking in. the north doesn't want them, the south won't have anything to do with them, smarter than West Va. so they realize their place fully....

Maryland is first cousins with New Jersey. Quite similar, but with its own unique taint.

Yes. but they won't ever admit it, and we [Southerners] don't like to either. NoVa, D.C. and Florida also fall into this unfortunate category. They should be send to the island of misfit states.

God dammit I see why I don't post here much anymore. If they look at you like you're an idiot for asking for sweet tea then no.
If you have to ask the question like the op you're a fucking idiot.
