based on whatever metric(s) you find most suitable...

tooth color
teeth shape
tooth-gum ratio
lip suppleness
tongue/lip biting quotient
mouth wideness
eye coordination
stank breaf

I hate my teeth and have sought opinions on veneers multiple times

Basically, insurance won't cover anything and it'll cost $Texas

[Edited on January 26, 2011 at 6:15 PM. Reason : and because i hate my teeth so much, I hate my smile]

When I was finished with my braces, the orthodontist did a phenomenally shitty job getting the dental cement off my front teeth, so you can still see where the braces were. It makes whitening my teeth close to impossible. However, I'm really satisfied with my smile.

so 99%

my teeth could use a little whitening but my dentist says what he could do wouldn't make much of an impact so i should hold off

i had braces and one day i would like to write my mom a check for $5,000 to pay her back for them because i am so happy with my smile i'd be willing to pay for it myself

Very satisfied. I could use some whitening but I'm happy.

I used to hate my buck toofs when I was little and imagined shaving them down but I love them now. they rock!

My smile is lackluster, but my self confidence is so damn high as it is if I were perfect in every aspect I'd be unbearable to be around.

Right down the middle. They are pretty straight, never had to have braces, but I wish they could be whiter. Ain't gonna happen, though. My baby teeth were white and perfect, but thanks to lots and lots of kidney meds my permanent teeth are not.

I am currently in transition. I hated my smile so now that I am a young professional I decided the time was right to correct it. Yeah, being 28-30 and having braces will be a little abnormal, but the long run it will be worth it. Right now it looks jacked up because I am in the space closing phase which includes filling the space of two extracted premolars to correct for a slight occlusion. I actually considered submitting a "dat ass" picture a while back that featured my oral contraptions but I lack the appropriate sunglasses to make a compelling case.

I love my smile. Mostly because everyone says i looks like my mom's. And it certainly cost enough $ and time.

Of course a little whitening is always needed due to coffee and cigarettes...

I always thought that Joie had a really pretty smile. It totally makes up for her disgusting looking earlobes.

Hate it. [-----------------|---] Love it.

Considering just how much work I had done in order to get this smile, I'm pretty freakin' happy with it. I had a cleft palate and an under developed jaw. I had quite a bit of craniofacial and plastic surgery done and then 5 years of orthodontics.

I'd just like to be a few shades whiter and have a tiny chip that no one else notices fixed.

I don't like my smile. I don't have a "teethy" smile in the least and it almost always looks forced. The worst thing is that I'm a generally happy person but I have a shitty smile to convey that.

It's probably the thing I like the least about myself.

I've never had braces or even wisdom teeth, but I get compliments all the time on it. I use my smile to my advantage all the time too.

7/10 satisfaction.

Plus points for good delivery (so I hear), but a few notches down cause not as white as would be ideal and lower teeth could use some alignment.

My smile is getting better, but that's because my braces should be coming off in about 6 months.

I don't really smile for pics. I just open my mouth like half a centimeter and suck my cheeks in a tad (not too much or it looks stupid).

I have some serious baby face dimples. The only thing I don't like about my smile is my two fang teeth And it could always be a little whiter.

i've got a tiny gap between my front teeth. everybody tells me not to worry about it, but i know its there. I'm also fighting the staining from smoke and diet cola, but when i quit smoking cigarettes i noticed they look a lot better.

Teeth used to be perfect, after 4 years braces I'd hope so, but lack of retainer wearing and wisdom teeth fucked them up again. Id say pretty happy overall.

^ I don't know exactly what you're describing and have no idea what you look like but, personally, I find girls with the dimples and cheeks that stick out A BIT when they smile incredibly cute. Maybe I'm strange..

Can anyone make any recommendations for an over the counter whitener? The cheaper, the better.

Other than the fact I have one tooth that is discolored because of trauma to it, my braces in middle school gave me a nice smile
