Continental and US Air just moved over to terminal 2 on Jan 23 leaving only SWA (4 gates) Airtran (1 gate) and Jet Blue (1 gate) left on the older terminal 1. Terminal 2 has 23 occupied gates with 13 open gates. Last week they closed down over half the restaurants and stores in Terminal 1. I found an article from 09 talking about possibly shutting it down but not much else. Anybody else heard anything?

Last time I flew out of RDU I dragged all my shit to terminal C for my United flight only to be told since it was a foretaste with US Air I had to drag my shit over to Terminal A Then the stupid bitch at US Air tried to send me back to Terminal C and copped an attitude when I showed her the printout United gave me

Haven't been to RDU in a while, but how do they number the gates with terminals as numbers?

You know in an airport with terminal A, B, etc the gates are A1, A2, B1, B2...

Is it like 101, 102, 201, 202?

probably the coolest thing ive ever done was getting to take a flight out of general aviation on my uncle's g4 and walking right from the car to the plane. no security, no lines, no wait, and almost no walk from the car to sitting in a seat with a stiff drink in front of me.
