I'm getting married in a few months and the person who was going to DJ for us is moving out of state, so we need a new DJ.

Anyone here looking to make a few extra bucks and enjoying a few drinks?

I beg to differ. He seemed to think it was his time to shine and not the newly married couple.

The guy did not know how to shut up. Every 30 seconds he had to say something to the effect of "If you want air guitars, I'll give them to you." or "We're still having fun." or "Do the lawnmower". We did not go through ONE song that night without him saying something. I didn't even dance and I LOVE dancing, but I couldn't enjoy the music with his constant chatter.

He randomly pulled all our guests into our main dining room and then started break dancing by himself in the middle of the floor while videotaping himself. Then he pulled 2 of our younger cousins onto the dance floor and they didnt want to be there.

But the worst thing the DJ said was "Keep it hetero." Two girls were dancing together and all of a sudden that gem came out of his mouth. What a trainwreck. But the bride and groom didn't seem to care, so that's great, but it was hard to sit through.

funny story though, would be a terrible DJ to have done such a thing lol...you have my promise I would never do such.

yes... getting a DJ from Tdub classifieds is such a good idea... although not as bad as going with craigslist.

Had he asked for a photographer there would be several qualified individuals; yourself included. I see no reason to assume TWW (or the network of TWW's friends & associates) would not contain a qualified DJ.

I agree, theres a good quality collective group of individuals on here that have their hands in a lot of different pots.

TWW is always a good spot to look to.
