sounds like a good idea but

-it gets hot
-sweat + sheets = the suck
-all covers and pillows slide the fuck off your bed too easily
-feels nice on the skin for a while.... but fucking on them exposes you to the same slipping problem that your sheets and pillows will encounter.

800+thread count 4 LYFE!

When I bought a new bed back in July, I figured if I'm spending 2K on a mattress I better not halfass it by putting shitty sheets on it.

My organic mattress was one of the best investments I've made in a loooooong time. Organic being natural latex, bamboo fibers and organic cotton. As cliche' as it sounds it really is like sleeping on a cloud. It has one of those pillow top things and I keep it rotated every six months.

^^ GROSS, it's not that hard to throw out a mattress, I had a roommate who did that.

I have bamboo sheets that I absolutely love, I need to go out and buy more but I can't remember where I got them.

they are pretty much like a slip n slide. You'll find yourself on the floor in the morning.

I figured it was time to be an adult, rather than that 25+year old guy that sleeps on a full sized mattress covered in jersey sheets (seriously, they are whack) on the floor. That's on par with wearing cheesy graphic tees and whatnot.

With the addition of the down comforter I got for xmas, my king sized masterpiece is now complete.
After my camera and drumset, my bed is my most prized possession.

I read somewhere that over the course of a mattress's lifetime it will double in weight from all the combined nights of sweat/hair/skin/dust/crap that comes off of you while slipping. If it's true, that is nasty.

Isn't that in some mattress radio commercial? I want to say it's in 8 years, not even the lifetime. I have a very hard time believing that. But I guess they have to skew the facts to get you go buy new mattresses.

No to silk sheets.

It shouldn't if you buy a proper waterproof/breathable mattress cover.

I am not a fan of most things silk with direct body contact...

didn't like my silk boxers, didn't like a silk shirt I had, and I imagine I wouldn't like silk sheets

there's like 50 kinds of silk. cheap silk tends to suck. not all silk sheets are satin either.
