Ooooor arm the ones deemed responsible. And then the number of whackos who do it illegally anyway and make responsible gun owners look bad will not seem so bad

y'all oppose campus carry because criminals wouldn't enter a campus with a gun right? and people don't already store/carry on campus (even though they are otherwise law abiding citizens and not shooting up classrooms)?

It's ALWAYS a law abiding citizen and not a nut case that shoots up a classroom/workplace.

it can't be that hard if someone with documented mental problems can go buy a gun and shoot up a bunch of people a la vt...just sayin

Of course he's in favor of school shootings. It just reinforces his beliefs that citizens shouldn't own guns.

I guess maybe you should just have to pass a mental test to own one

for instance, I probably shouldn't own a gun...

you need CC for campus carry (at least all the laws I've seen).

and all you need is cash to buy anything.

I'm willing to wager that me and biofreak are the only ones in here who have actually been robbed at gunpoint, and I'm glad none of us had a gun that night

Yes, that is ALL it takes to do this.

I really wish they'd do this in NC. Think its completely ridiculous that I don't have the right to have any of my weapons on me or even in my truck unloaded and locked up because its on school property. Not that I want to carry all the time or feel the need, but I should have the right to if I wish.

Dense folks are dense

OK - let me make this simple for you. If someone is going to do something illegal/violent/stupid, like VT, they are going to do it regardless of the laws. If you say it is illegal to have a gun, law abiding citizens will be the only ones to give them up. OK, so now you have crazies with guns who don't care and responsible law abiding citizens unarmed. Sounds like a plan for success to me

if you can assume that it would be just as easy for your average dumb thug to get a gun after a gun ban law went into affect, then I can assume that it would be much much more difficult...and my assumption is a lot more logical

I wonder what happened to the violent crime rate at a "hypothetical" university that had already "hypothetically" had allowed concealed carry to those with designated permits... hmmmm

I know schools in both those states either still allow it or did up until recently (regime change at a school in colorado to anti-gunners ended carry on campus at one school I believe - even though crime had dramatically decreased since allowed and students protested the change)
